 | How long do your cupcakes stay fresh?
We bake our cupcakes fresh to order. There are no additives or preservatives, so they are meant to be consumed the same day they are delivered or picked up. Please do not wait a few days to eat them however they may be frozen if you just can't stand to eat them all today :)
| | | Do you have any gluten-free, vegan or sugar-free cupcake options?
No, we specialize in good old sugar, butter, flour and eggs. | | | Are you a nut free establishment?
No, our cupcakes are made in a kitchen where nuts are used and some of the decorations contain nut oils. All our cupcakes may therefore contain traces of nuts. If you have any allergies to any type of food, please see our Allergy Warnings page for more details.
| | | Do your cupcakes contain trans fat?
Not at all! And there are no preservatives either! Our cupcakes are made with the freshest quality ingredients around.
| | | Can I make a special order?
Of course! Cupcake Whimsy loves to bake and decorate custom order cupcakes so go to our Custom Order page and ask us today!
| | | How far ahead should I order?
For most small orders, ordering is a minimum of 24 hours in advance, but we do get very busy (especially during major holidays) and the earlier you're able to confirm the more chance there is that we can fit you in. For custom orders, please allow 7 business days. For weddings and other large orders it is advisable to give us as much notice as possible (we can take a 30% deposit to secure your booking if it's a month or more in advance).
| | | Is there a minimum order?
For custom orders we have a minimum order of one dozen. If you need a smaller quantity you may order any cupcake on our site at a minimum of 6.
| | | I'm craving a flavor, but it's not on your list. Can a make a special request?
Certainly! Cupcake Whimsy is talented enough to try new flavors, so go ahead and order using our CUSTOM ORDER button.
| | | Do you cater?
Yes, we will deliver and set up a beautiful display for you. The set up/decorating cost is determined by your specific needs. Cupcake Whimsy catering services are available for any occasion: weddings, birthday parties, showers, office parties, etc.
| | | Do you have a retail location?
Unfortunately no. Currently we only take catered and custom orders here through our website and are "Currently" only a delivery-only business.
| | | Do you ship?
Starting in January 2012 we are researching shipping options..Maybe soon we'll be shipping so all our wonderful friends and supporters in all of the 50 states can taste our cupcakes, but for right now you'll have to drive to Naperville to taste a Whimsy Cupcake!!
